WOMEN ARE RISING.

Disclaimer: If you know me, in person, or you have read anything on this blog, you know that I am not a feminist. I have never been one, and I am not interested in becoming one. I do not believe in what feminism has become today. I think that it is destructive, and it stands in the way of Biblical womanhood and manhood. I believe in the idea that men and women are complimentary. We were created to exist in union. We are different and unique. I believe for each gender to thrive, mutual respect, responsibility and unity must be applied. I do not believe the genders should be at war or that one gender should dominate over another. I believe we are all equal under God. (That might sound like a cop out to some people, but that’s just where I’m at). The women I am describing in today’s post are women who know Jesus and have their existence defined and sustained by Him. These are women who read the Bible, believe it and live it out in their daily lives.
Ok, let’s dive into today’s wisdom!

Women are rising. Not to take over from men, but because we have a role to play, a potential to fulfill in order to do God’s will down on earth.

Women are rising and destroying barriers that the devil, earth and man (society) have placed on us. Our seed, our sacrifice and our focus are all growing the Kingdom of God.

And I will put enmity
    between you and the woman,
    and between your offspring and hers;
he will crush your head,
and you will strike his heel.”

Genesis 3:15

Women are rising and sitting next to Jesus, fulfilling His will, seeking Truth and speaking it, dispelling lies and bringing forth His Truth.

Women are rising and returning to a place of submission to their God, their husbands and their destinies. We’re not trying to replace men or take their place. We know that we are not equipped to deal with what they deal with. We do not have the internal mechanics to fulfil their destinies, no, we have everything we need to do what God has placed us on this earth to do. Some of you have confined us to the fields of food and childbearing and rearing, however, if you look closely, our gifts take many forms: we knit, we sew, we sit in boardrooms and classrooms, we sell land, build houses, manufacture and innovate. We also give birth to children and bring them up with our bodies, blood, sweat and tears.

Women are rising and demanding respect. They are demanding respect because they have earned it, they deserve it! We are carrying out our gifts with pride and integrity. Women are setting the standard, bringing compassion, empathy, understanding and excellence to the workplace, to the home, to your industries and societies. Women are rising and bringing with them the Spirit of God. Women are piercing the darkness with God’s light, His holiness and presence. We are returning to our position as complementary besides our partners.

Women are rising. Rising to our highest potentials. Highest ideals: God’s highest for us. Women are rising, rising to the call of Christ. Across the globe! We are unmasking and facing the things that have kept us down and broken, lost and in pieces. We are being set free from our hurt and pain. Women are rising!

Women are rising to pick up what Jesus put down for us. Our bill has been settled; the debt has been paid. We are picking up on the promises Jesus made to us! We are making strides prescribed in the Word, pre-ordained as Christ’s workmanship. We are showing up as fearful and wonderful. Just as intended!

I praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Marvelous are Your works, and I know this very well.

Psalm 139:14

Women are rising to support each other. Our words do not tear down but build up. We are embracing the wounds that we have long run away from. We support each other. We speak life into each other. We lament and comfort, remember and reminisce, rejoice and celebrate, advice and counsel. Women are bringing their best to build the best. Women are pouring their money, time, skill and expertise to build cities, homes and generations that glorify God. Women are bearing children who know God. Women are tending to homes where Jesus is King. Women are running businesses where God is glorified. Women are praying for women. Women are teaching women to trust in God again and turn back to Him. Women are loving Jesus with everything that they have.

For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance as our way of life.

Ephesians 2:10

Women are rising in their need for men. (Again). In community, sisters to brothers, wives to husbands. Women are thriving in their role to love their brethren. They realize that they cannot do everything on their own. Women realize that they are not designed to do everything by themselves. Women are accepting love and affection from the right dudes. Women are accepting to be seen for who they really are, in their fullness and beauty. Women are standing up for the weak and downtrodden. Women are calling out other women who are rude, callous, cold and unwomanly. Women are using their positions to build the Kingdom and bring glory to Jesus. They are running to Him for healing and help, for health and joy, for satisfaction and peace. Women are loving men, nurturing them, encouraging them, calling out the greatness in them, correcting them, teaching them, educating them and respecting them. Women are pouring their lives into building, caring, praying for and nurturing themselves so that they can show up better in their homes, churches, jobs and communities.

Women are rising. They are bold, healthy, whole, joyful, and balanced. They are satisfied in Jesus and by Jesus. Women are rising. They are looking to no one else, and nothing else, not motherhood, not careers, not beauty, not intelligence, not homemaking skills, not sex, not music, not money but Jesus to be whole. Women are rising. They need Jesus and that’s enough for them!
